Even with shipping, that’s the best price available by almost $20. This model was praised in a review by Home Theater Review and earned 4 stars from What Hi Fi?
 Etronics.com has the Yamaha RX-797 Natural Sound AM/FM Stereo Receiver for $376.06 with free shipping and handling. That’s a drop of about $10 since I last updated this product listing in late February and still the best price I could find for a new, sealed box unit at an acceptable retailer. Newegg.com has the YAMAHA 5.1-Channel Digital Home Theater Receiver RX-V365  Number 1 in Service (an Amazon Marketplace vendor with 100% positive feedback) has the Yamaha RX-497 75 Watt Natural Sound AM/FM Stereo Receiver  6ave.com has the Yamaha RX-V863BL 7.2-Channel Digital Home Theater Receiver for $499 with free shipping and handling. That’s 50% off retail and beats all other reputable vendors selling this model. This home theater receiver has the ability to designate channels for bi-amping the front speakers. It also has an HD radio receiver, and is both XM and Sirius capable. It gets good marks for sound quality, picture quality and ease of use in this review from avguide.com. The reviewer’s conclusion: “Yamaha’s product designers did an amazing job integrating the RXV863’s bountiful features set. This receiver was a pleasure to set up and use.” There are also reviews at Sound+Vision and Home Theater Magazine. It sold for close to retail of $249 until about six months ago, when it was discontinued in favor of newer blu-ray models. Amazon seems to have the last of these in stock, and is selling them for a bargain price. It has some good audio processing on-board: Four two-channel Burr-Brown 192kHz/24-bit audio DACs and an “Audio Direct” mode.
