OneCall has the Polk Audio VM30 (Ea.) Silver 3-Way Tower speaker for $397.99 each ($795.98 per pair) with free shipping and handling. That’s a savings of over $1,200 per pair versus MSRP (though this particular model is no longer being manufactured). You can check out the customer reviews at Amazon (generally very positive) to see what people think of them.

That beats a deal from March by $17 per pair and is the lowest I’ve seen these speakers this year. Check out the excellent review at onspeakers.com. I have to admit having a soft spot for Polks – I bought my Monitor 5B’s back in 1986 and they’re still set up in my living room.

That’s the best price I’ve seen for these speakers in the past six months. This is Polk’s least expensive floorstanding speaker, and is targeted at the first time audio buyer on a budget. That said, I’ve had Polk’s since 1986 (I bought what was then the near entry level Monitor 5B — and I’ve always been pleased with them).

The Polk Audio Direct store at ebay.com has refreshed its stock of LSi bookshelf speakers (search for “LS*” in the “Store search” box to see available models). Refurbished LSi9′s (pair) or LSi7′s (pair) can be had for “buy it now” prices of $699 (plus $30 shipping) and $399 to $549 (plus $30 shipping), respectively. Those prices are $260 below typical retail for the LSi9′s, and $220 to $370 below typical retail for the LSi7′s. Both would be at the top of my list if I was in the market for new speakers.

The LSi9′s have received excellent reviews. For instance, see the Soundstage review from April 2002. The reviewer’s conclusion:

The And Now for Something Completely Different attitude has worked well for Polk Audio. They’ve hit the bull’s-eye with the LSi9. Not only is it an exceedingly refined, first-class performer, it has specific sonic qualities that make it stand out in its price class. The LSi7′s, while slightly smaller, got a nice review from Stereophile in March 2003. One soundbyte from that review: “In fact, I’ve heard no other speaker costing less than $2000/pair whose HF performance approached that of the Polk LSi7.”

Newegg.com has the Polk Audio Monitor 60 Black Floorstanding Loudspeaker Each for $109.99 each ($219.98 per pair) with free shipping and handling (add coupon “EMCYSZW75″ in the shopping cart to get this price). That’s $20 below my last mention of this model on March 23, and the lowest price available.

Newegg.com has the Polk Audio Monitor 70 Cherry Floorstanding loudspeaker Single for $159.99 each ($319.98 per pair) with free shipping and handling. That’s at least $80 lower per pair than I could find anywhere else, and $40 below my mention last mention of this product in early March. I’ve had Polk speakers since 1986 and have always been pleased with them.

Electronics-Expo has the Polk M10 Bookshelf Speakers for $42.75 per pair plus $19.99 shipping and handling (after coupon “EDEALINFO”). Even with shipping, that’s the lowest price I could find on these discontinued speakers by at least $50. These are the bottom of the line Polks – don’t expect them to match the higher end models. I see these as a good choice for a dorm room (easy to move and you won’t be crushed if they get stolen or destroyed at a party). That’s at least $50 better per pair than my last mention of this model (in early March). As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve owned Polk speakers since 1986 and always been pleased with them (I still have my original pair set up in my living room system).

Newegg.com has some fantastic bargains [again] on the Polk RTI series speakers. All of the Polk RTI series feature a genuine wood veneer finish (as opposed to the more common vinyl finish). Based on past sales at these prices, I expect they will revert to regular price on Sunday at noon. All come with free shipping and handling.

Newegg.com has [again] temporarily cut prices on several models from its Polk TSi speaker line (based on prior sales, I expect this one will end Sunday at noon). These are not as nicely finished as the RTi models featured in another post, but are nevertheless nice sounding speakers in their price range. Amazon has the Polk Audio RM705 5.1 Home Theater System (Set of Six, Black) for $288.74 with free shipping and handling. That beats the price at Newegg by $11 and is the lowest I’ve seen this surround system. I have an older, but similar model hooked up in my family room, and have been very pleased with the quality.

Newegg.com has the Polk Audio RM85 5CH Satellite Speaker System for $499 $449 with free shipping and handling. For a limited time, they are including a Polk PSW111 Subwoofer (normally $299.99) for “free”. Although the 5 speaker RM85 set can be found for less elsewhere (Amazon currently has it for $400), I couldn’t find the combination for less than $650 $700 anywhere else. No coupon is necessary. The subwoofer will appear in the cart after adding the RM85 set. I have a more entry level Polk surround system in my family room, and have been extremely pleased with it (I think I paid this price for the “cheaper” system about 7 years ago).

Although slightly higher than a sale price available earlier this month at Newegg ($598 per pair), this is currently the best deal available for these speakers by $272. The RTi line had real wood veneer finishes (as opposed to the more common vinyl covering on most speakers in this price range).

Although not quite as low as a sale price ($249 per pair) at Newegg from a couple weeks ago (which quickly sold out), it’s still the lowest currently available by at least $85. Check out the review from Stereophile for more information on this model. I’ve owned Polk speakers for 24 years and always been pleased with their performance.

This Friday only, OneCall has as its “Daily Deal” the Polk Audio RTI8 Cherry (Ea) for $197.88 plus $68.75 shipping and handling ($395.76 plus $137.50 S&H per pair). That’s $54 less per pair than OneCall’s recent sale price on these speakers, and $200 less per pair than anywhere else. Though not the lowest price ever seen for these tower speakers, it appears to be the last of the available stock for this now discontinued model. The RTi8 is comparable to Polk’s current RTi A5, which is currently selling for $449 each ($898 per pair) (though Newegg has had the RTi A5 as low as $299 each in a couple of very brief sales this month). All the RTi series speakers have real wood veneer cabinets, a significant upgrade from the vinyl covering on most speakers in this price range. OneCall is based in Spokane, Washington, so the price should be good during Pacific time on Friday.
