July 28 and 29, World Wide Stereo takes up to 40% off storewide with coupon code “2DAYSALE”.  Be sure to try it out on NAD amplifiers and receivers (which are rarely discounted).

UPDATE: This appears to take 20%+ off both NAD amplifiers/receivers and Peachtree Audio integrated amplifiers (the best discounts I’ve seen for either brand). Also takes significant discounts on Monster and Klipsch headphones.

Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio for $197 plus $6.99 S&H at Electronics-Expo (with coupon “STBEATS″)

Electronics-Expo has the Beats by Dr. Dre Studio High-Definition Headphones from Monster for $197 plus $6.99 shipping and handling (after coupon “STBEATS”). Although $2 higher than my last mention of this product in late June, that’s still $25 better than I could find anyplace else (even with shipping). Most vendors are still selling these for $299+. Cnet’s review explains the features well (they are powered and noise cancelling). Even if you’re not a fan of Dr. Dre, these are worth exploring if you’re in the market for new headphones. Stereophile reviewed these in its March 2010 issue.

Monster Turbine High-Performance In-Ear Speakers for $106.76 with free S&H at Amazon.com

Amazon.com has the Monster Turbine High-Performance In-Ear Speakers in stock for $106.76. That’s the best price available (barring retailers of questionable reputation), and well below the $149+ being charged by most of the major online dealers. This is the “entry-level” turbine model, but it nevertheless has received good marks, including this review from Cnet.

Monster Cable Turbine Pro Copper Professional In-ear Headphones for $303.96 or Miles Davis Tribute Headphones for $319.20 with free S&H at OneCall (with coupon “CALL4DEAL”)

OneCall has the Monster Cable Turbine Pro Copper Professional In-ear Headphones for $303.96 or the Monster Cable Miles Davis Tribute In-Ear Headphones for $319.20, both with free shipping and handling (with coupon “CALL4DEAL”)(Coupon expires April 5, 2010 11:59pm PST). Those are the best prices available by $75 for the Copper edition and $80 for the Miles Davis edition. Both are at the top of Monster’s line of in-ear monitors. The Miles Davis version earned a score of 9/10 in a review by digitaltrends. Both versions are equipped with Monster’s new “SuperTips” (silicon tips with foam inside them), which claim to completely isolate outside noise without impairing sound quality.

Monster Ultra Series THX 1000 Speaker Cable with Monster Tips 15 ft. pair Speaker Cable (ULT S1000MT-15/15) for $44 plus $6.49 shipping from Puget Sound Depot (via Amazon)

Puget Sound Depot (via Amazon Marketplace) has the Monster Ultra Series THX 1000 Speaker Cable with Monster Tips 15 ft. pair Speaker Cable (ULT S1000MT-15/15) for $44 plus $6.49 shipping and handling. That’s the lowest price I could find anywhere for this discontinued product, which originally retailed for $129.95.  The markup on cables is always horrendous, so a discount of this magnitude is pretty rare. I like that these are pre-terminated with banana plugs and the reviewers praise their solid construction. I used bare wire for 20 years, picked up some banana plugs on a whim, and haven’t gone back since. It vastly speeds up the setup process and makes it much easier to untangle cables and other cords (it’s especially nice for people who move their system frequently, like college students). You could easily spend $20+ just buying some nice banana plugs — the cost to assemble a similar quality cable on your own with bare wire and screw on plugs would likely exceed the price charged for this pair of cables.
