OneCall has the Marantz SR5004 7.1-channel black home theater receiver (factory renewed) for $399.77 with free shipping and handling. That’s $100 better than the best price available for a new, factory-sealed unit. This model got a nice review from Tom’s Guide, and Marantz receivers have an excellent reputation for outstanding audio quality.

This weekend, OneCall has the Marantz SR5004 home theater receiver for $489.77 with free shipping and handling. That’s a drop of another $10 since I last mentioned this product a week ago. This price is for a NEW (not refurbished) unit, and is the best price I’ve seen by $360. OneCall has had refurbished units of this same model for $449.97 for a few weeks, but at just $50 more, it’s hard to beat this deal on a new unit. This model got a nice review from Tom’s Guide, and Marantz receivers have an excellent reputation for outstanding audio quality.

Amazon has the Marantz BD7004 Universal Blu-ray Disc Player (Black) for $399.99 with free shipping and handling. That’s in line with the new retail pricing for this model, which previously sold for twice as much (and which is still being sold for the old retail price elsewhere). This player received a 5 out of 5 star review from What Hi Fi?

UPDATE: As noted in the comment below, Marantz has lowered the MSRP on this model to $399.
OneCall (via Amazon) has the Marantz NR1501 7.1-channel black home theater receiver for $399 with free shipping and handling. That’s matches a deal from late May, and is the best price for a new, sealed-box unit from a reputable retailer by almost $200. Marantz has a great reputation for building quality audio electronics, and this unit received a nice review from Audioholics. This model has a slimmer form factor than other Marantz products (which somewhat limits the number of connections available on the back), taking up far lack rack space.

Amazon has the Marantz SR7002 Surround Receiver for $599 with free shipping and handling. That’s 50% off MSRP, a drop of $100 since yesterday, and the best price available by at least $300 (most reputable retailers are charging $950+, with many still selling for close to $1,400). This prior generation model, while not positioned at the top of the Marantz line, still earned an excellent review from Secrets of Home Theater and High Fidelity. Like other Marantz products, it gets high marks for sound quality. Detailed specifications can be found at the Marantz website.

Audio Advisor (via Amazon) has the hard to find Marantz PM5003 Integrated Amplifier for $449 with free shipping and handling. Although not the lowest price I’ve seen for this unit (best price was $429 at OneCall with a coupon which lasted one day and expired March 15), it has been extremely popular (and scarce for the last few months). It was reviewed in the January, 2010 issue of Stereophile. After waxing on about the various perceived sound differences between this and much higher priced equipment, the reviewer summed up his experience with the PM5003 with the following:
If I buy the Marantz, how will I stand? You’ll stand mighty proud. The Marantz PM5003 is a stunning achievement: an uncolored, revealing, well-built gem with more features than anyone could possibly ask for at the price. I’d almost go so far as to suggest that all well-heeled audiophiles buy one, just to create a benchmark in their minds for what’s available for $450 from today’s talented electronics designers. I plan to keep my sample around for a while, as I seek out other components to couple with it as candidates to be included in complete two-channel systems that are highly revealing and musical but that retail for a total of no more than $1000. That ought to keep you youts happy for a while.

Amazon has the Marantz SR8002 Surround Receiver for $999 with free shipping and handling. That’s 40% off MSRP and the best price available by at least $350 (it’s $200 lower than a deal I mentioned last week). Although not the latest generation, this model received excellent reviews which extolled its superb audio quality from Home Theater Review and Home Theater Magazine. You can check out the detailed features and specifications at the Marantz website.

Vann’s has the Marantz SR5004 7.1-channel black home theater receiver for $649.95 with free shipping and handling. For a limited time, they are also including a FREE pair of Klipsch KHC-6 architectural in-ceiling speakers which normally sell for $199.88 at Vann’s (MSRP is $349). That’s a $200 price drop on the receiver (the next best price I could find from a reputable retailer was $679 shipped), and a decent set of in-ceiling speakers thrown in. This model got a nice review from Tom’s Guide, and Marantz receivers have an excellent reputation for outstanding audio quality.

Accessories4less.com has the Marantz PM8003 Intergrated Amplifier for $799.99 plus $20 to $40 for shipping and handling. Even with shipping, that’s at least $150 better than anywhere else. Accessories4less is an authorized Marantz dealer and has decent reviews on resellerratings.com (though I’m not sure I’d recommend buying refurbished items from them based on the feedback I’ve seen thus far — if you have experience purchasing refurbished items from Accessories4less, let me know). This unit is NEW with a 3 year manufacturer’s warranty. There’s a nice review on this model at GoodSound! from June 2009. Another review from Audio Video Revolution summed up:
If an amplifier upgrade is in your future and you have a grand for budget, the PM8003 deserves strong consideration. Sleek design, excellent build and performance, and a better-than-expected phono stage, await. Listening to the PM8003 brought back many wonderful childhood memories and made me glad Marantz is still here with me, decades on. That Marantz sound and shining blue light are still magical.

OneCall.com has the Marantz PM5003 Stereo Integrated Amplifier for $429 with free shipping and handling (after coupon “GREEN”). Coupon expires at the end of the day today (3/15/10). This is the first time I’ve found this amp (other than open box) for less than $449. Check out the review at Stereophile for more information.

Accessories4less.com (via Amazon Marketplace) has the Marantz SR4023 Stereo Receiver (refurbished) for $359.99 plus $17.49 for shipping and handling. That’s $20 under the best price I could find for an open-box unit, and $120 less than I could find for a new, sealed-box unit. Note that this is a stereo (not surround sound) receiver — it is nominally rated at 80 watts/channel into 8-ohms, and 100 watts/channel into 4-ohms.
