Boston Acoustics VR series speakers (VR3, VRC and VR1) heavily discounted (37% – 50% off) at OneCall (price drops on VRC and VR1 since April)

OneCall has a few models of the Boston Acoustics VR series speakers (all discontinued) for sale at excellent prices: the Boston Acoustics VR3 Black (Ea) is available for $247.97 each ($495.94 per pair) plus shipping starting at $61.60 each or $117.50 per pair. Even with shipping, that’s still a discount of almost 50% per pair. The VR3 is a three-way floorstanding speaker with dual 7-inch woofers (and a former flagship model for Boston Acoustics). The VR3 has a nominal impedence of 8 ohms and sensitivity of 93db – meaning that they should be easy to drive with almost any half-decent amplifier or receiver. Home Theater Magazine reviewed the VR3 in 2005 (as part of a Boston Acoustics surround package). Included in that same review was the Boston Acoustics VRC Black, a center channel speaker which matches the VR3, which OneCall has for $179.88 (a drop of $20 since early April) plus shipping starting at $21.95. Even with shipping, that’s still almost 45% off MSRP. The step-down Boston Acoustics VR1 Black (Ea) (a two-way floorstanding speaker) is also available for $149.88 each ($299.76 per pair) with shipping starting at $25.20 each or $44.70 per pair (even with shipping, a drop of $35 since early April). All are the lowest prices available.
