Amazon has the Marantz BD7004 Universal Blu-ray Disc Player (Black) for $399.99 with free shipping and handling. That’s in line with the new retail pricing for this model, which previously sold for twice as much (and which is still being sold for the old retail price elsewhere). This player received a 5 out of 5 star review from What Hi Fi?

OneCall.com still has the Denon S-5BD Integrated Home Theater Receiver/Blu Ray Player with the Klipsch HD 1000 5.1 Speaker Sysem for a combined $1,899 with free shipping and handling. The Denon unit alone sells for close to $1,800, and the speakers can’t be found for less than $500. So it’s like getting the speakers for $100 or the Denon for $1,300 — either way its a great deal for a slick new piece of equipment. Check out the first impression from audioholics for more on this newly released Denon model.

CircuityCity.com has the Samsung HT-BD1250T Blu-Ray Home Theater System (refurbished) for $319.99 plus $20 to $50 shipping and handling. Even assuming the maximum shipping price, this still beats the best price available for a new, sealed-box unit by at least $110. I’m not usually a fan of HTIB systems, but this particular model received an excellent review from Cnet (which named it Best budget Blu-ray home theater system and also includes it on Cnet’s current list of Best 5 home audio products). It includes an iPod dock and can stream Netflix and Pandora.

Amazon.com has the recently released OPPO BDP-80 Blu-ray Disc Player with SACD and DVD-Audio (Black)
in stock for $289.99 with free shipping and handling. There isn’t a better price out there. The OPPO disc players have received uniformly positive feedback for both video and sound quality (as well as their ability to handle sound only formats such as SACD and DVD-Audio). This is a step down from the BDP-83 model (which goes for $499), but it promises to have almost the same level of performance at a far lower price.

TigerDirect has the Samsung BD-P1590 Blu-Ray Disc Player (Refurbished) for $99.99. Shipping is free on orders over $100 — add this Steren 200-203 3-Way 900 MHz F Mini-Splitter for $0.79 to qualify for free shipping (it will save you at least $10 versus paying for shipping on a sub-$100 order). This is the cheapest Samsung Blu-Ray player that supports Netflix and Pandora streaming. Note that this model does not have wi-fi built in – you either need to buy an adapter or hook it up via ethernet cable.
