During the month of August, Amazon is offering over 1,000 downloadable MP3 albums for $5 each. Usually they offer a selection of 100 per month at that price. Almost every genre is covered, and there are a large number of titles from popular artists.

With the start of the new month, Amazon has refreshed its list of 100 albums for $5 each. Included in this month’s selections are Essential Beach Boys: Perfect Harmony (Limited Edition Package) (a savings of $9.85 compared to buying songs separately) and Pearl Jam’s Ten (a savings of $7.48 compared to buying songs separately).

With the start of the new month, Amazon will refresh its list of 100 albums for $5 each. As of Saturday night/early Sunday AM, some of the titles from last month are still on the list, so its unclear if they’ve changed over yet. I’ll keep an eye out for any noteworthy new titles.

Amazon.com has Blondie’s Parallel Lines available for download in unprotected MP3 format for just $5, a savings of $10.84 over buying the songs individually. All songs on the album were digitally remastered in 2001. Check out the Wikipedia page on this album for more history.
